For Ocean Ericeira • World Ocean Day 2026

For Ocean: A World Ocean Day Fundraiser

Hosted by Ericeira Runners & Coral Cove In partnership with Alfa Humans, Pace Beer & Ribbai

Sunday, June 7th. At Ribbai, Ericeira. Starts 10:00 AM.

Our ocean is our playground, our sanctuary, and our home. This World Ocean Day, we aren’t just celebrating the coast—we’re giving back to it. For Ocean is a community gathering designed to connect us to the water and to each other, with 100% of proceeds going directly to local conservation.

What’s on:

  • Social Run: A 4km spectacular route led by Ericeira Runners. Starting and ending at Ribbai, overlooking the Atlantic the whole way. Run, walk, or crawl. It’s about the fresh air and the company, not the clock. Approximately 30 minutes. All paces welcome.
  • The Plunge: Once back at Ribbai, Alfa Humans will guide us through a post-run ice bath experience, with a proper introduction to cold exposure and its benefits before you take the plunge. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a regular, you’ll leave feeling reset and recharged. Bring a towel to get dry afterwards!
  • Refreshments: Celebrate your efforts with a complimentary cold beer from Pace Beer.
  • Vibes: Live DJ set by Jamie Berg to soundtrack the morning.
  • Raffle: We’ll be raffling off goodies from local partners to keep the fundraising going.

The Cause:

100% of your ticket price is donated to Hope Zones Foundation. They are the local legends bridging the gap between surfing and sustainable fishing, running vital regenerative projects (like seaweed farming) right here on our coast between Nazaré and Sintra.

Price: €10

Open to everyone! Runners, ocean lovers, families, and pets.

Can’t run? Join us for the plunge and the music. Can’t make it but still want to show our coastline some love, you can still purchase a ticket. Every cent goes directly to the foundation. Every bit of support counts.

Disclaimer: Cold plunging is contraindicated for people with heart-related conditions, respiratory/neurological conditions, or pregnant women. Please consult a physician if unsure.
